TRANSPORTING DANGEROUS GOODS

The Transport of Dangerous Goods (Safety Advisers) Regulations 1999 require
that employers who consign dangerous goods for transport; operate road vehicles
and trains; or load or unload dangerous goods while they are being transported to
their final destination - for example, freight forwarders and warehousers, and
employers at ports and airports - appoint a vocationally qualified Dangerous Goods
Safety Advisor (DGSA).

Failure to appoint a DGSA is a breach of Health and Safety Law that renders the
employer liable to criminal prosecution.

SAFETY UK provide fully qualified and experienced DGSAs who are keenly aware of
business needs such as efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

The cost of appointing our DGSAs is often less than the cost of training
in-house staff to the same standard with the added benefit of 24 hour emergency
cover at no additional cost.
