Contractor Competency Assessments
It is the duty of every principal contractor to ensure that any contractor is competent, this is where contractor competency assessments come into play.We are able to assist in this process, whereby reviewing contractors Risk Assessments, Health and Safety Policies, Training Requirements etc to ensure that everyone meets their requirements. We then provide a report on areas that need improvement and those that do not so that the contractor and the principal contractor can make an informed decision.
We are also able to assist contractor in the submission of their health and safety information when applying through organisations such as CHAS, SMAS, Constructionline etc. These organisations form part of the SSIP. Further details on SSIP can be found at www.ssip.org.uk.
Safety UK (SW) Limited have assisted many clients with their competency submissions. We assist from the beginning all the way through to submission. We do not necessarily need to act as your Health and Safety consultants to provide you with this service; sometimes a review of current health and safety information from a third party can be beneficial.
