The Site Supervisors Safety Training Scheme
This course is designed for first line managers, foremen, gangers, team leaders and supervisors: those who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities and need to understand their legal duties to better contribute to the instruction, supervision and monitoring of tasks and activities to ensure safety on site.
The course covers:
How health and safety law is structured and how it applies to supervisors.
How the supervisory role fits in with the management structure in controlling the site safely.
How to carry out risk assessments and the need for method statements.
How to carry out effective site inductions, toolbox talks and method statement briefings.
How to monitor site activities effectively.
The importance of timely intervention when bad practice is identified.
The site supervisors safety training scheme course materials consist of the ‘Site Safety Simplified’ and ‘Tool Box Talks’ textbooks. The ‘Site Safety Simplified’ textbook includes a broad range of construction-related topics and legal duties, along with a brief history of health and safety law. The ‘Tool Box Talks’ workbook consists of an A6 ring binder containing laminated cards designed for supervisors to deliver on-site tool box talks at any place and time.
This course runs over the period of two consecutive days from your chosen start date. This course is provided by our sister company JNC Safety Services Ltd.
